I just wanted to have my house repainted

Ten days ago I decided to have my house repainted. I telephoned a painter and he came home and started preparing the walls. Pitifully, a pile of plaster fell off onto the floor. I had to have the wall completely replastered. A plasterer came home and while he was knocking the old plaster off, he hit a gas pipe and fractured it. I had to have it mended, so I called a gas fitter. While he was fitting a new gas pipe, he burnt through an electric cable with his blowlamp. This meant having a room rewired. While I was explaining what had happened to an electrician, he broke a window accidentally. I called a glazier to have the window replaced. At last, he finished fitting the window. When everybody left home I counted how much I had spent on the damages and I realized I had spent a lot of money. As I was very angry I started to hit the wall and a pile of plaster fell off onto the floor again.
