Hyde Park

London, which is not only the capital of England but also the capital of the United Kingdom, is often called the Green City due to its several parks and open spaces. One of the most interesting parks to visit is Hyde Park. This park, which is the biggest and perhaps best-known public park in the centre of London, is a good option to get away from the noise and chaos of traffic. Some people go to Hyde Park just to rest or relax, others go to see the squirrels or the swans. In Hyde Park you may row boat, pedal boat or even sail. And many people come to do different sports like kite flying, jogging or skating. A popular pastime in Hyde Park is Speaker's Corner. Speakers, who normally stand on boxes to be above the crowds listening to them, go there every Saturday and Sunday. Speakers express their opinions about the world. Hecklers, who interrupt the speakers with questions or comments, are very funny to listen to. As you see, you can't get bored in London.
